Nintendo releases "Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot" statistics

During the April 1, 2015 Nintendo Direct, the company announced they would open a voting website where fans could enter names of characters they'd like to see added to the popular crossover fighting game, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS. After the first day, Nintendo let people in on some statistics regarding votes.

"One fourth was Ridley, one fourth was Snake from the Metal Gear series, and another fourth was for Ice Climbers, which were already said couldn't be added due to technical limitations."

After asking what the other fourth was, we later got a response.

"Oh, just various characters. I only say one fourth because there was an overwhelming amount of votes for characters like the one I mentioned, only horribly misspelled."

We later asked about the Smash crew's thoughts on adding a character like Lucas into the game as DLC.

"You're not getting Mother 3, please stop asking."
